Consider this record of what Jesus did: “And He went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (Gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people.” Matthew 4:23 [Amplified Bible]
Consider this example of His healing power:
“20 And behold, a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment;
21 For she kept saying to herself, If I only touch His garment, I shall be restored to health.
22 Jesus turned around and, seeing her, He said, Take courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well. And at once the woman was restored to health.” Matthew 9:20-22 [Amplified Bible]
The apostle Matthew wrote this about Jesus’ healing power:
“And thus He fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah. He Himself took [in order to carry away] our weaknesses and infirmities and bore away our diseases.” Matthew 8:17 [Amplified Bible]
Jesus gave this healing power to every believer (i.e. those who have received salvation through being born again). The Word quoted below is Jesus speaking to the eleven apostles after He had risen from death:
“15 And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 ‘He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
17 ‘And these signs will follow those who believe; in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18 ‘they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.’ ” Mark 16:15-18 [New King James Version] (My emphasis)
If you require healing, you need to accept it by faith, just as you need to accept by faith that He (Jesus Christ) cleansed our sins with His blood when He was crucified. The Bible says the following about our healing through the Crucifixion of Jesus: “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 [New King James Version] (My emphasis)
Jesus said: “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” Matthew 21:22 [New King James Version] He also said: “Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.” John 16:24 [New Living Translation]
Remember though that while for some healing is immediate (i.e. a miracle in which the illness and symptoms disappear immediately), for others, symptoms may persist beyond the prayer. That does not mean the prayer is unheard or denied. What is required is to hold on in faith, expecting the symptoms to disappear. If during this time that you are waiting, you are receiving medical treatment, there is no basis in Scripture for you to stop taking such treatment or not to seek medical assistance. Repeatedly declare verbally, thanking God, that by Jesus’ stripes you have been healed, no matter what your circumstances may be (this is how you activate faith – by declaring what you believe, no matter what your current circumstances are). “… faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
1 James 2:17 [New King James Version] Declaring (confessing) the promise of your healing while believing in it is the “works” required. Jesus said “… for assuredly I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move and nothing will be impossible for you.”

How To Exercise Faith.]
If your symptoms do not disappear immediately, do not waste your time trying to understand why, questioning the depth of your faith – you will probably never be able to figure out the answers to such questions. Focus instead on His love for you, His grace and know that He is in control. Remember that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. [Romans 8:28] We must put our faith in Him and entrust Him with our lives – knowing that He has our best interests at heart, because of His unfailing love for us and His desire to be present and active in our lives. It is only when we surrender all to Him and depend on the truth of His word that we live in faith, as the Scriptures require us to: “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” [Hebrews 11:6 New King James Version]
Believe that Jesus Christ healed you when He was crucified, as the Scripture says.
You can pray and ask Jesus for your healing. If you wish other believers to pray for you (by laying hands on you), go to your local Bible based church and request a prayer for such healing.
Just in case you don’t believe in the healing power of Jesus Christ, the author of this article has personally witnessed dramatic healing miracles in church services. I have witnessed, among other miracles, a number of people who had unequal legs (i.e. one leg shorter than the other) have their shorter leg physically extend (i.e. grow) instantly (within about 5 to 15 seconds) to a length equal to the other, in full view of the congregation! These miracles are documented – they are not fairytales. Jesus is alive and He heals!
It all starts with believing in Jesus Christ. Don’t you want to invite Him into your life?
